Ready for a Vocabulary Review? Here’s how:
- Go to the Review
tab.
- If you’re on the app, select Vocabulary in the slider at the top of the screen. On the web, Vocabulary is the default.
- Select 'Start quiz' (for iOS learners) or 'Review now' (for Android and web learners) to begin reviewing a mix of your Weak
, Medium
, and Strong
words.
You can also scroll through your words to view translations, play audio for correct pronunciation, and see examples by selecting the button next to the word.
On the app, there’s a handy search bar for locating specific words. Check out our article on reviewing specific words here.
When you start a Vocabulary Review on an iOS device, you’ll be asked if you’d like to complete the review with Flashcards or
Writing:

Flashcards: You’ll be shown flashcards with text, audio, and a hidden translation. Test your memory by guessing the word, then select Show translation to check your answer.

Writing: You’ll engage in writing exercises that ask you to type what you hear or translate the flashcards shown, testing your listening skills and memory.
Please note, Flashcards Vocabulary Reviews are exclusive to the iOS version of the Busuu app. Whenever
flashcards aren’t available,
