You’ll be entered into the Busuu Leagues after you complete 2 lessons. Then, you’ll be on a weekly leaderboard with up to 40 other learners, all in competition to win the most points and move up the Leagues!
Earn points by:
- Finishing new lessons or revisiting old ones.
- Practicing vocabulary and grammar in the Review section.
- Correcting exercises from fellow learners.

To check your progress, select the League icon (i.e. ) at the top right of your screen. This shows your rank on the leaderboard and the time left for the week’s competition.
Competitions run from 5am (BST/GMT) on Monday to the following Monday at 2am (BST/GMT). Finish in the top ten and you’ll move up a League. The bottom five drop down a League, and everyone else stays put.
Remember, no activity means no movement. If you’re inactive for a week, your League position stays the same.
