We understand circumstances might arise when you might not be able to make a previously scheduled Live Lesson.
You can cancel your lesson with at least 24 hours' notice, via the Live Lesson dashboard on the Busuu platform, and you'll automatically receive a refund of your lesson credit.
If you cancel less than 24 hours before your scheduled lesson, this is considered a late cancellation, and the credit for this lesson will be forfeited.
Cancel your lesson(s)
To cancel a lesson, follow the instructions below:
Access the
Live Lessons section from the top navigation bar on the website after logging into Busuu
Locate the lesson you wish to cancel under the "Upcoming" tab.
Click the
icon
Select
Cancel Live Lesson
Please allow up to 12 hours for your credit to be made available again. You can check your available balance by following the instructions on How can I check how many lessons I have?.
Joining your lesson(s) late
If you can make your lesson later than the scheduled time, while this is possible, please note that your teacher is only required to wait for you for the first half of the lesson before considering the lesson as Missed.
If you join more than 10 minutes after the scheduled start time, the lesson will be recorded as Missed.
Use the chat function to notify the teacher about the delay, where possible.
Rescheduling your lesson(s)
It is not possible to simply reschedule a lesson for a different date or time, even if this is the same Live Group Lesson or a Private Lesson with the same teacher. Instead, cancel the lesson by following the instructions above and use the refunded credit to book another lesson.
