How do I book a Live Lesson?

After accessing the  Live Lessons section from Busuu on the website or via the direct link here, you will see the lesson option available for you to book (Private Lessons and/or Live Group Lessons).

Private Lessons

First thing first, after clicking the "See lessons" button, simply use the filters to select your Language from the options available.

Then it's time to choose your teacher! To find one that best suits your learning needs, you can use the filters to search for teachers who speak an additional language than the one you are studying. You can also filter by time of the day and day of the week by using the Availability and Time of day filters to find someone who is available when you are.

As you move through the filters or scroll through the screen, you will see a list of our carefully selected teachers with more information about them. Each teacher is also assigned a star rating, compiled from feedback from other students just like you.

Once you find someone who fits your needs, click the "See availability" button and select your time slot to book your lesson.

Let the teacher know your language level and what you'd like to work on; the more details you provide the better the teacher can prepare for the lesson, and then go for the "Book now" button. You'll then be able to add it to your calendar of choice, and this will also appear in your Upcoming lessons on your dashboard. This will be further confirmed by an email.

Remember, once you have booked a private lesson, you can contact your teacher using the chat feature from the Busuu Live dashboard.

Live Group Lessons

Each of our Live Group Lessons is crafted by experts and forms an integral part of our Busuu courses, so you can encounter them as you go through your self-paced lessons within the  Learn section on the Busuu website.

To book one, you first need to click the "Book lesson" button just under Group Lessons.

You will then see a chapter list on the left side of the screen, which will list all the lessons available for the language selected. Here, you can filter by language or level. You can also filter your lessons by time of the day and day of the week by using the Availability and Time of day filters at the top of the screen, right next to the scheduler.

Once you are done, you will see a list of the lessons that match your selection.

From here, you may simply click the "Book now" button to schedule it for the given time and date or find out more about the lesson from the View details link to see:

• A brief description of your lesson
• Details about what it will involve and what you will be doing
• The material you'll be working on as a group, in PDF format, available for you to download
• Brief information about the teacher who will be leading the lesson or a list of possible teachers

For Live Group Lessons, a teacher is assigned only after the first student has booked the lesson, so don't be shy if you see that no one has booked yet!

Once you've booked your lesson, you'll be able to add it to your calendar of choice, and this will also appear in your Upcoming lessons on your dashboard. This will be further confirmed by an email.
