There are two ways to send exercises to the Community: at the end of a lesson, or via the Community tab.
Exercises at the end of lessons
Record your answer in audio format with the ‘Speak’ option, or type it out using the ‘
Write’ option. Remember, any website links or external references are filtered out, so keep your content focused on the exercise.
When you’re ready, send it off to the Community. You can even notify learners on your friend list, so they can take a look for you! If you don't see all of your friends as a suggestion, it's because only friends who speak that language at an advanced or native level can be notified.
Exercises in the Community tab
Want to practise outside of lessons? No problem!
- On the web, head over to the
Community section, click on the Community corrections tab, and pick an exercise.
- On the Android app, go to the
Community section and select an exercise under ‘Weekly challenges’.
- On the iOS app, visit the
Community section and tap the ‘Practise now’ button, then choose your exercise.
Remember, any exercise you post is public and visible to all learners. So, keep things appropriate and avoid sharing sensitive information. See more about that in our Terms of Service here.
Receiving corrections and rating Best Correction
When you’ve sent an exercise into the Community, other learners may review your exercise and offer corrections or guidance on how to improve. Typically, your exercise stays open until it gets at least 5 corrections or reaches enough learners. Plus, you might get a visit from Busuu's Correction Bot while you wait for human feedback!
Be sure to interact with those correcting your exercises. Respond to their corrections and give them a thumbs up or down.
And don't forget to reward the 'Best Correction' by selecting the button above their comment.
